The Basic Homemade Dog Food Recipe for Your Pet

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup of oats

• 4 cups of uncooked rice

• 9 cups of water

• 1 teaspoon salt

Mix all the above ingredients and bring to boil. Add the following when boiling:

• 2 beaten eggs

• 2 cups finely chopped vegetables (could be broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, etc.)

• ½ cup milk (2%)

• 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

• 8 ounces ground chicken, beef or lamb

• 3 ounces finely chopped liver

• 3 tablespoons corn oil

Mix and lower the heat to low.  Let cook for about 20 minutes or till the water is absorbed.  Once cooked, spread out the dog food in a container.  If you will serve to your dog, add yogurt or cottage cheese plus a teaspoon of supplement mix (1 cup wheat germ, 1 cup brewer’s yeast and 1/8 cup of powdered kelp).
